Jay Anne Finch is one of the main protagonists in Homecoming. She is one of Hunter Wilson's closest friends and member of the Hillcrest High School Homecoming committee.
Background[]
Jay Anne lives a normal life in Hillcrest with her family and friends. She's a devoted member of her high school homecoming committee and is described by Hunter as the smartest cheerleader he knows.
It's heavily implied that she has feelings for Hunter.
Biography[]
School life and Meeting Celeste[]
At Hillcrest High, Jay Anne first appears in the hallway followed by fellow committee member Cole and jock Paul to greet Hunter as he enrolls the amnesiac Celeste to pose as his "cousin" from far east.
Jay Anne introduces herself by intervening in Paul's attempt to flirt with her along with Cole. After chemistry class, Jay Anne joins Hunter and Celeste in the cafeteria. Cutting in on the conversation between the pair, Hunter informs Jay Anne that Celeste will be joining their committee, much to her delight as they could use the extra help. In the gymnasium, while Cole, Celeste, and Paul are decorating a banner, Jay Anne is busy working on her laptop in the bleachers.
Jay Anne gives Hunter an affectionate smooch.
Hunter sits next to her and compliments her design projects. Jay Anne, pleased to have her work admired, plants an affectionate kiss on Hunter's cheek. This makes the exchange both sudden and awkward for the two. As Hunter tries to ease the moment by inviting her to catch a flick, Jay Anne, who is visibly bashful from kissing him, politely turns him down. This makes a conflicted Hunter leave as Jay Anne asks why.
Attack of the Striker[]
The Striker attacks Celeste and Jay Anne from above.
Before long, a massive berserk monster crashes through the roof of the gym. Jay Anne and her friends quickly find cover under the bleachers as Celeste, who has instantly regained her memories in the attack, begins to fight the Striker with her fantastic alien abilities. The battle escalates for the worst when, after being saved by Celeste's powers, the Striker escapes through the gymnasium roof and sends a hull of debris crashing down on Jay Anne and her friends, save for Celeste and Hunter. The two drag their bodies out of the rubble with Hunter displaying remorse for Jay Anne the most.

Celeste then surprises Hunter by summoning her personal spaceship which gathers him, Celeste, Jay Anne and his unconscious friends up in a beam of light.
Jay Anne is placed in a stasis pod.
Once onboard, Jay Anne along with Cole and Paul are placed nude in large stasis tanks filled a with green fluid agent. Inside Jay Anne's body is being implemented with alien extremities through her torso while she's dormant. According to Celeste, she's saving their lives through this method and will need their assistance in case of another Stiker attack, much to Hunter's dismay and chagrin.
Awakening twice[]
A breif time later, Jay Anne suddenly awakens. She calls out in vain with her speech garbled by the fluid in her tank. To the adjacent tank, Jay Anne cries out to Cole as the latter's body is being transformed by the contents of the tank.
Things get even more intense as an alien creature appears and attacks the two. Jay Anne can only scream in terror as the creature whacks her tank with it's tendrils until she is burst free with a pair of worm-like tentacles wriggling from the sides of her naked body. Then Jay Anne wakes up again, this time dressed in her sleepwear and in her bedroom early in the morning. Getting up, Jay Anne ponders if it was a dream. She merely dismisses this from drinking frappachinos so late as she puts on her glasses. Jay Anne's mother then calls her to the kitchen to inform her of the morning news.
Jay Anne learns from the news that an explosion occurred at the very time the Striker attacked her and her friends, confirming her suspicions. Although she was relieved to be alive and well, Jay Anne was unsure about the circumstances. Determined to find out, Jay Anne first decides to talk to Celeste. Jay Anne becomes so resolved that she opts to skips breakfast at home, much to the surprise of her mother and younger brother. She is then reminded of a history exam that she didn't study for, on account of the incident.
A Startling Discovery[]
At school, Jay Anne finds everything running smoothly in spite of what happened in the gym. She then makes it to the classroom to take the aforementioned history exam. Without studying, Jay Anne hopes to improvise and make the best of it. However, halfway through the test, Jay Anne starts to feel discomfort on her sides.

Then,something starts poking from inside her shirt panicking the girl. When the teacher asks what's wrong, Jay Anne feigns illness and makes a hasty exit from the classroom. Running through the halls, she makes it to the girl's bathroom and once inside is momentarily relieved to find it empty.
Jay Anne looks at her tentacles in terror for the first time.
Bracing herself, Jay Anne faces a tall mirror and slowly lifts up her shirt and is horror-struck to see a pair of alien tentacles slithering from both sides of her torso! She frantically texts Hunter to bring him a jacket and sweatpants to the girl's room. Once there, Jay Anne quickly changes and exits the bathroom with Hunter in an uncomfortable silence. After losing her patience from listening to Hunter ramble on about his date proposal, Jay Anne demanded to see Celeste.
Controlling her Powers.[]
After meeting up at Hunter's residence with Cole and Paul included, Jay Anne listens to Celeste as she explained her alien origins. Although it confirmed her suspicions involving the night before, including being placed in a tank, it didn't Jay Anne's mind at ease. After hearing enough about the technology of Celeste's ship, Jay Anne reveals her alien tentacles that she had wrapped around her waist while covering up under a hoodie. This prompts Cole to show off her new alien features. But as Celeste explains how the gifts take time to manifest, Jay Anne loses it with her tentacles, denouncing them as "a gift". Her tentacles thrash with her growing irritation and stress from having to face her friends and family with her new normals. However, with some words of support from Celeste, Nay Anne manages to calm her mind long enough to retract her tentacles.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Alien Tentacles- After being placed into the Bio-Rejuvination tanks aboard Celeste's spaceship, Jay Anne gains the ability to control alien tentacles. These worm-like appendages slither from her ribs and can act as an extension of herself. Similar to an animal's tail, Jay Anne's tentacles respond to her emotions. When furious, her tentacles lash and writhe violently. However Jay Anne can retract her tentacles back into her body once she calms down and wills them so, passing as a normal teenage girl.
- Enhanced Strength- Jay Anne's tentacles display a degree of immense strength and power. When she was losing control of herself, Jay Anne's tentacles thrashed around shattering small objects with ease at first until one accidentally whacked Hunter across the living room with enough force to make a dent in the wall. Then when the Striker attacked again, Jay Anne used her tentacles to restrain the creature despite her size and stature and grab Hunter and Paul with no effort.
- Enhanced Durability- The modification from the Bio-Rejuvination tanks have also given Jay Anne a greater resistance to impacts than a normal human. During the second fight against the Striker, Jay Anne takes a full redirected blast. She then gets back up to continue fighting moments later.
- Intellect - Described by Hunter as very smart for a cheerleader, Jay Anne has a knack for being the best and brightest of her class.
